New students - postgraduate
Welcome to our postgraduate education community at Exeter! We are delighted that you have chosen to join us and hope that you will make the most of all the opportunities available: on your programme, through the wider postgraduate academic community and through extracurricular activities.
Postgraduate taught programmes is the university terminology for all taught programmes at Masters level or above and includes Postgraduate Certificates, Postgraduate Diplomas and Masters programmes. You will hear the shorthand ‘PGT’ used, so we thought it was useful to define that here!
ELE is our managed learning environment, which contains a host of useful information. Each programme and module has its own ELE page, containing information relevant to your teaching and assessment, including your programme handbook. Module pages will be developed and added to throughout the year, to ensure the very latest resources can be included. This means the content may not be complete until shortly before the module begins, so do take a look now but please also check back to Term 2 and 3 modules closer to the time for up-to-date content and resources.
Please note that we typically only contact students via their university email addresses. Please make sure that you know how to access your university email account and that you check it regularly. If you have a different ‘main’ email account, then you may want to forward your University emails to another email address . Please report any problems to the Student Information Desk (SID).
The university subscribes to multiple software programmes, including the Microsoft Office Suite. You can download these for free on your personal device. More information
