Robyn is a registered Diagnostic Radiographer with the Health and Care Professions Council and serves as an Academic Mentor within the Medical Imaging Team at the University of Exeter. Her professional career began at Yeovil District Hospital in 2017, where she developed a passion for student support and dementia care while practicing as a radiographer. This led her to take on the role of Radiology Dementia Champion.

In October 2021, Robyn commenced the position of Associate Lecturer within the University of Exeter's Medical Imaging Team, concurrently pursuing a part-time PhD. Her doctoral research focuses on person-centred care and practices in Medical Imaging for individuals living with dementia, their caregivers, and Medical Imaging Professionals. Robyn was actively involved in teaching across the Medical Imaging Undergraduate, Degree Apprenticeship, and Master’s Degree Apprenticeship Programmes.

In early 2022, Robyn contributed as a graduate research assistant for the IBEX Study, which investigated bone mineral density using x-ray forearm imaging.

Transitioning into a full-time role as an Academic Mentor in Medical Imaging in March 2024, Robyn now dedicates her expertise to supporting degree apprentices in their educational and professional development.
