Katie Swann (she/her)

Lecturer
Medical Imaging (Radiography)

I am a HCPC registered Diagnostic Radiographer, graduating from the University of Exeter with a BSc in Medical Imaging in 2007. Since qualification I have gained extensive clinical experience in general, trauma, and paediatric imaging. Throughout my clinical career, I have been passionate about delivering high‑quality, patient‑centred diagnostic services.

I have previously held roles as a Link Radiographer, Clinical Assessor, and University Clinical Tutor, supporting student development and gaining strong skills in clinical education. I currently hold Practice Education Accreditation with the Society and College of Radiographers, and have recently completed a Postgraduate Certificate in Clinical Education.

In January 2026, I joined the University of Exeter academic team as a Lecturer in Medical Imaging. I currently serve as co‑module lead on the Diagnostic Apprenticeship programme for RAD2003DA, RAD2004DA, and RAD3004DA, where I combine my clinical background with my passion for teaching to support and inspire the next generation of radiography professionals.
