Dr Jon Fulford

University of Exeter
Medical School Building
St Luke's Campus
Exeter EX1 2LU
About me:
Jon’s work is mainly focused on the implementation of Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) techniques within the research environment. This means, as well as the studies he is principally involved in, he is able to provide assistance and guidance in other studies which plan to use MRI methods.
In addition to standard structural methods, he routinely employs more advanced procedures such as diffusion tensor imaging (DTI), arterial spin labelling (ASL) and functional MRI (fMRI), in particular during neuro focused studies.
Interests:
Jon is specifically interested in work employing MRI techniques to assess modifications in physiological parameters, as a results of interventions or associated with certain clinical conditions. In particular, he focuses on work measuring changes in muscle characteristics, both at rest and during exercise and in a wide range of neurological features.
Qualifications:
- PhD (Radiation Biology)
