About me:

I am a qualified radiographer and senior lecturer, working across the Medical Imaging programmes of the Health and Life Sciences Faculty at the University of Exeter. My key roles include being the Programme Lead for the MSc radiography degree apprenticeship and Practice Education Strategic and Quality lead with oversight of all placement and workplace activity for the Medical Imaging (Diagnostic Radiography) programmes.

Career:

My BSc (Hons) radiography degree was attained in 1996 from City University, with the majority of placement experience at the Royal London Hospital. My radiography career focussed mainly on general and interventional radiography, CT and being a Link radiographer for both the University of Exeter and the University of Portsmouth.

In 2005 I also started working at the University of Exeter as a lecturer/practitioner on the Medical Imaging (Diagnostic Radiography) degree programme alongside my NHS role. In 2009, I started working solely for the University of Exeter as a placement co-ordinator, a role which has developed into my current practice education role.

In 2023 I took on the programme lead role for the MSc Radiography apprenticeship programme, which is an accelerated 2 year apprenticeship programme which was set up in 2022, with the first intake graduating in December 2024.
