About me:

Debra joined the University in November 2023. She is part of the Advanced Clinical Practice Degree Apprenticeship team mentoring and supporting apprentices.  Furthermore, Debra is also a Lecturer on the Leading Clinical Research Delivery (Online) programme and is Module Lead for the Doing Clinical Research Module (HPDM150Z).  Her specialist interest is in low carbohydrate diets and putting Type 2 diabetes into Remission.  She often delivers guest lectures on various nutrition topics for different universities including the University of Plymouth and Leeds. 

 

She is an HCPC Registered Dietitian and brings with her over 25 years experience in industry, academia and clinical practice.

As an experienced dietitian Debra is keen to support apprentices on their learning journey to becoming ACPs.
