Dr Ahmed A. Najim is an assistant professor in nursing education. He is a distinguished academic and healthcare leader with over three decades of experience in nursing education, community and maternal–child health, and health research. He currently serves as the Dean of Admissions & Registration at Al-Azhar University, Gaza, where he has held senior roles, including Dean of the Faculty of Applied Medical Sciences and Director of the Nursing Department. His research interests focus on nursing research in conflict zones, public health, and capacity-building in health education.

 

Current Fellowship

Fellowship Council for At-Risk Academics (CARA)-University of Exeter, United Kingdom (2025–2027). Awarded a prestigious international research fellowship to collaborate with the Department of Health and Care Professions. Research focuses on nursing research in conflict zones and building nursing research capacity in conflict-affected contexts. The fellowship is hosted by the University of Exeter and funded by CARA.
