About me:
Amy completed her degree at the University of Plymouth. Upon qualifying, she developed her knowledge and experience by working in a variety of clinical environments, including acute medicine and surgery, ophthalmology and outpatients. As her career progressed, she undertook a more senior position within an outpatient department, whilst finishing her Masters in Advancing Healthcare Practice.
Her continued studies fuelled her interest in innovative healthcare practice and service improvements, specifically focusing on the integration of physical and mental healthcare services. Her experiences throughout her practice have cemented her belief that nurses at all stages of their careers can be inspirational role models and leaders.
Amy joined the University of Exeter in July 2020, inspired by the innovative teaching approach for a new generation of nurses. She is pillar lead for the Leadership and Management Pillar, and is excited to help students learn and develop their own leadership styles. Amy is passionate about great nursing care, and is excited to be part of the development of the nurses of the future.
